(AllHipHop News) Former Geto Boys group member Big Mike is back with a new album after a three-year hiatus from the music business.
The New Orleans, Louisiana native will drop his new album Bayou Classic: Love.Faith.Honor.Loyalty. next month.
The 12-track album is Big Mike’s sixth official release and his first since 2009′s album Serious as Can Be.
Big Mike was recruited into the Geto Boys by James “J. Prince” Prince after original group member Willie D. left the group in 1992.
The following year, The Geto Boys released their fifth album, 1993′s Till Death Do Us Part.
Big Mike was kicked out of the group shortly afterwards, over a physical altercation with Scarface.
Willie D. eventually returned to the group, and Big Mike embarked upon a solo career in June of 1994, with the release Somethin’ Serious.
After several solo releases, Big Mike was sent to prison for over three years for arson, after he was convicted of torching a recording studio affiliated with his former label, Rap-A-Lot Records.
Bayou Classic: Love.Faith.Honor.Loyalty will be released at all major digital outlets and select retail locations on Tuesday December 13 2011.
